Earlier this month I made my second appearance in the Pittsburgh edition of the Redbull 3Style DJ battle. Joining me were local favorites (and a few out of town friends), Digital Dave, Midas, Pete Butta, Petey C, Zimmie, New York Giant & B-Tips. All very talented DJ's and undoubtedly a great lineup for a party rocking battle. I worked hard on my set this year but unfortunately didn't manage to place in the top 3. Much respect and shouts to Midas (3rd), Zimmie (2nd) and this year's winner, Petey C who brought his skills as well as his following to the table that night. I wish him the best of luck in Washington D.C. tomorrow night where he'll be going up against DJ's from NYC, Boston and DC in the regional battle. I'll be making the trip down with Midas to show my full support. The other high point of the night was meeting and finally hearing DJ P live. He's one of the DJ's I've admired for many years that I've never had the pleasure of seeing live. He rocked an all vinyl set at the party which these days is a rare treat.
