DJ Nugget's 20 Piece Series (#1) Indie Rock Remixed

I'm currently working on a mixtape series called "DJ Nugget's 20 Piece" and below is the first mix of the series.  Every mix will be 20 songs and themed to a certain music format.  All of the mixes will be recorded live with no editing whatsoever.  This first mix is all Indie Rock songs that have been remixed by some of my favorite dance music producers, DJs and bands.  Some of the tracks are brand new and some are a bit older.  It weaves between mellow, funky and harder beats but flows nicely nonetheless.  Play it in your cars, home and at work and feel free to pass it along to friends who may be interested.  Look for the next mix soon which will feature newer hip-hop tracks that I dig.  Thanks for checking it out and any feedback is appreciated!

Commonwealth Family @ Altar 7-11-09

I'm going a little backwards here and apologize for the delay but I had to share these pics.  The Commonwealth Family has been gaining more and more momentum in Pittsburgh and I'm excited to say that I've got to partake in some of it.  Their CD and video release party was out of control last month!  The pics will do the talking for me but peep the Kool-Aid man on stage with them...Ridiculous!  These guys put on a mighty fine hip-hop show and I highly recommend checking them out as soon as you can.  Also big shouts to Lazer Crunk (DJ's Cutups and Keebs) for holding down the bill with me.

DJ Craze @ Diesel 7-30-09

A few weeks ago Talk to Vinny and Nakturnal brought the icon DJ Craze into town for an awesome show at Diesel.  I opened up for Craze along with Lazer Crunk and it was a great night all around.  It was incredibly hard to capture good pics with my camera during Craze's set because of all the lights and smoke but I managed a few.  Afterwards we all went back to Keebs' ridiculously dope crib and kicked it.  Shouts to everyone who came out to party with us and Talk To Vinny and Nakturnal for making it happen.
