Redbull NYC

A few weeks ago I made a quick trip to NYC to play a Redbull gig at "ONE" Little West 12th St. in the meatpacking district. I played outside of the club inside a crazy new vehicle that Redbull just started to debut in recent months. The back roof of the truck came up with hydraulics and there was a full DJ setup inside with flatscreen TV's and the whole nine. I was only supposed to be there for two days but the morning I was supposed to come home, Pittsburgh was in a state of emergency after a crazy snowstorm basically shut the city down. Knowing that, I decided my best bet was to stay in NYC and hang with my friends. It had been awhile since I made a trip to the big apple so it was good to catch up with Anthony, Kevin, Matt, Brian, Anna, Ting and Nikle as well as Chelsea (who hooked up the gig).

The night I got into town I headed out with Anthony, Brian and Chelsea to check out a few spots and have a few cocktails.

Friday night I played at "One" and everyone came through to hang out. Shouts to Nikle and Matt for making appearances. Afterwards, we bounced around the meatpacking district to a few different spots and all ended up crashing at Chels's new place in the financial district. As you can see below she has a crazy view from her place.

I decided to stay in NY on Saturday and hung out with Kevin and Anna in Brooklyn for the majority of the day. Afterwards, I headed into the city and got a chance to jump on the decks at the Tribeca Grand Hotel with Anthony. When we were finished we jumped in a cab and went to a spot called the "Box" to meet up with my good friend Ting. I woke up on Sunday and made my way back to Pittsburgh to witness just how much snow we actually got. There was about 2 1/2 feet in front of my house when I got home!
